Robert Cray Band Time Makes Two
It was one of those nights. I needed to hear This Band and This Song. If you ever wonder why Kimberly and I are so passionate about the Robert Cray Band’s music, click the image and get that vibe tonight. If that groove and those solo’s don’t get your hairs on end… well, maybe you should stick to getting your tunes from MTV

Desert Flowers Belly Dance Troupe
This last Saturday Kimberly and her Belly Dance Troupe ( The Desert Flowers ) braved the smoldering Heat and headed over to the White Tanks to have some pictures taken all together. It was truly painfully hot out there and I am amazed the girls all held up so well for the photo shoot.

They will be performing at Sultan’s Grill coming up here soon, so keep an eye out in Kimberly’s news and elsewhere for details. Should be a great time, see you there.

Some of the PHOTOS from the the White Tank shots.

Aunt Lisa and Cousin Austen Visit Arizona

Lisa and Austen Thum
What a treat we all had a couple weeks back. My Aunt Lisa Thum and Cousin Austen came to town for a visit. They live up in Vermont and we hadn’t had a chance to see my Aunt in nearly 20 years, and hadn’t even met Austen before. Like all family, it doesn’t matter how long it has been, you seem to be caught up and ‘family comfortable immediately.

What a whirlwind visit it turned into. They actually got into town before we made it back from Vegas. We had a nice night visiting, and the next morning, we were off to hike the West Fork in Sedona - probably our favorite family hike and a must show for all out of town visitors. After the West Fork we rushed home as it was Austen’s birthday. Kerry and Mike, and Mike and Antoinette made it over for the celebration too. I made some homemade pizza’s and we had an ice cream cake and played some Pirate’s Poker.

The next day we were off to Tucson as Aunt Lisa had a friend/student who graduated from her school (Dartmouth) who was entering Med School at U of A. We went down to see her White Coat Ceremony and also hit the Mission at San Xavier. The last day of their visit we had a fun day up at Mike and Kerry’s in Anthem and Josh and Heather joined us.

The good news is that they will be back again it looks like around the holidays - and this time bring Uncle Carl and cousin Alexia. We are looking forward to it.

Zachary Levi Miller turns 21 in Vegas

Zac
The youngin’ turned 21 this month. And as what now seems like a tradition (both boys anyway) we headed up to Vegas to celebrate. Mom and Dad logic is we will have a great time with our boy (Momma’s baby) and at the same time make sure he stays out of trouble. Well… we got 1.5 out of 2 on that anyway. Long story but something about a bouncer and Dick’s Last Resort…

A great time for sure was had. Aside from hitting Dick’s, we also made it up to the Voodoo Lounge on birthday night, had some amazing Miami Vice’s at the TI Pool, and got to see Cirque Du Soleil’s “Love” show at the Mirage. Speaking of which, what an amazing show that turned out to be. As much as we love Cirque, I figured Love would be a little short. Well, it’s not. What it loses (and it does some) in amazing artists and talent, it makes up for in an incredible visual sight and sound mind altering experience. A must for your next Vegas trip.

We of course have the pictures HERE and even made a little video HERE of the event. I guess the good news is, no more under 21 year old’s for us, so these Vegas crazy trips are now over.
