Cho’s Tae Kwon Do testing Jan 09

Well, I finally got a chance to test for my Green Belt up at Phoenix Chos (I was recommended to move up). I had missed the last testing as we were traveling again and it was nice to be able to accomplish this objective. Really for me the classes are all about training, learning new things and the friendships and camaraderie - and the Belts are just a byproduct. That said, each belt level has its own pattern, additional moves to learn, and added other learning’s so it is nice to get a new one to practice after so long.
Everyone did great, there was some sparring, board breaking (got to do my first breaking this time) and a whole lot of Patterns. I messed up on some of the self defense moves (bummer) but I think did fairly well on the rest. Now on to the next challenge…
